What positive events have taken place in your life over the past year?

The past year… let’s see.

The biggest thing was my first proper overseas trip to the USA. We went for Stagecoach — and honestly, it has to be one of the best festivals I’ve ever been to. America really knows how to throw a party. Exploring California was amazing too, and somewhere between LA traffic and desert sunsets I realised I could easily solo-travel next time.

The second big thing? I bought a house. And not just any house — a 146-year-old cottage with a bullnose veranda and ivy climbing the front. Pretty much identical to the dream house I described in a daily prompt not long ago.

And somewhere in between all of that, I did something small but huge: I stepped out of my comfort zone and went on a couple of dates. Nothing that turned into anything, but they were positive steps — little reminders that putting yourself out there isn’t as scary as you think.

I also met a few people who’ve become important in my life, the kind who show up exactly when you need them. And I learned some hard truths this year too — the kind that don’t feel positive in the moment, but end up making you stronger, clearer, and more resilient than you were before.

So yeah… it’s been a year of big milestones and small victories, and I’m pretty proud of all of it.
